Lady luncheon

Here at PMTSSLC we have some of the most faithful clients around. They mostly range in between the ages of 'don't even ask' and 'they won't even tell you even if you beg'. They are our favorite Thursday shampoo sets and we love them to pieces. To show how grateful we are to them, on December 20th we hosted and annual 'Lady Luncheon', complete with Santa Clause and ham.
Our student counsel decorated and went shopping to prepare for one of the most fun events I've been able to be apart of.
The ladies, in their version of the word, had a 'blast'. As did all of the student counsel, serving them food and being able to help Santa give out presents!
To all of our favorite shampoo set ladies we love you! And have a merry Christmas!

Remembering Emilie Parker

On the 14 of December 2012, the hall ways of PMTSSLC were shocked, as student from student the news of the shooting in Connecticut spread.
I realized that day that time does not stop for us, it does not slow down, even when these tragedies  happen, we are meant to move on. But never forget.
One of the young victims of this tragedy, Emilie Parker, has been brought to her home state of Utah for her funeral. Her parents have asked the community to show their support and decorate our community with pink ribbons, their Emilie's favorite color, in honor of her.
On the 18 of December Our PMTSSLC students decorated our school to show our support. On the fallowing day, December 19 all PMTSSLC students had a 'dress-down- day' in which we all wore pink, and gave 3$. All money earned was given to Emilie's family for funeral costs, to show our love and support of them.

To all of the suffering families of the Connecticut shooting PMTSSLC students are thinking of you and remembering your losses. And will not forget you or you struggles.

Paul Mitchell Future Professionals serve at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Paul Mitchell Future Professionals serve at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary

Each year Paul Mitchell the School Salt Lake City, and now Ogden as well, is invited to go to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.  We go down and spend a week there working in building trails, cleaning the facility and walking the dogs just to name a few.  It is a lot of hard work, but a worth while experience for our Future Professionals to learn about service and to give back to the community.  When they return, we will have them blog about their experiences.  Until then, here are some pictures of the fun they are having!!

Paul Mitchell the School Salt Lake City Celebrates with Ogden for their Grand Opening!

Paul Mitchell the School Ogden Grand Opening!

We are so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate with our sister school Paul Mitchell the School Ogden in their Grand Opening.  It was such a fantastic evening!  We were able to get buses that took our Future Professionals to Ogden to experience this great night!

They had a few Local vendors provide the catering for the evening.  It was so nice to have a local Street Taco vendor and a local Coffee Shop provide drinks.  La Michoacana Tacos, located on 24th & Lincoln in Ogden has the best Street Tacos around!  Also, All the Perks Coffee Shop came and provided Iced Coffee and Tea to drink. Cupcakes were provided by Vintage Cupcakes.  They were delicious!  They are all such great people and companies to work with.

We had some time to meet and mingle.  John Paul DeJoria and Winn Claybaugh were available for pictures with anyone who wanted them and the anazing and talented Fumi Eguchi took the pictures for us!

The Ogden School is so shiny and new,  it was fun our Salt Lake Future Professionals to be able to see the beautiful new facility.  They LOVED the enclosed Wash House.

After we looked around at the School for a little bit, everyone came outside for the ribbon cutting and an amazing speech from John Paul and Winn.  Our lovely owners, Shawn and Angie said a few words too.

It was such an honor to be able to share this experience with our friends in Ogden. They have worked so hard for this Grand Opening and it is nice to see all their hard work paying off! We Love you Ogden!! We are excited for all the growth you have to come!!

New to this Blogging world

Hello Everyone, Candice here.  I have decided that in order to to make following the blog easier, until the website has an RSS feed, we will also have a blogspot blog!  It will be virtually the same besides the fact that here we can have our own twists and flare! Even though there will always be a link to our website at the end of every post, I am really excited for people to be able to follow us here!
